Artist JR and Liu Bolin Collaborate On "Hidden" Louvre Pyramid
Back in May, French street artist JR took over the famous Louvre in Paris where he pasted over the iconic pyramid using photographs of the surrounding structures. Looking at the right angle, it appeared that the pyramid in the main courtyard “disappears” from sight. For his next optical illusion project, who better to collaborate with than China’s elusive artist Liu Bolin? With both artists painted over, the two blend in with the already camouflaged pyramid behind them.
Their undertaking is now available as a print from Magda Danysz. Titled Hidden in the City: the Louvre Pyramid (with JR), the edition is produced as a run of 12 and measures out to 200 x 150 cm.
