So pack your gear, hit the store on the way out of town to fill up that cooler with grub and beer and go disconnect!
Ingredients
1/2 a Yellow onion
3 garlic cloves
6 medium zucchini’s
1 jar of your favorite marinara
1lb of Italian chicken sausage
Prep work
Cut half a yellow onion
Chop 3 cloves of garlic
Spiralize 6 medium sized zucchini’s
Cooking instructions
Start your fire and wait until the flames slowly subside and you’re left with extremely hot coals.
Place your cast iron on top of the coals, add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil - I prefer avocado oil - to the pan. Next is to add your onion and stir those around. Once your onion begins to soften add your garlic. Stir periodically for about a minute. Put your 1lb of Italian chicken sausage into the pan, break up chicken and stir around until cooked through. Add in your marinara sauce and let simmer for about 5 minutes. Once sauce is heated add in your zoodles. Cook until zoodles have started to soften but still hold their shape - usually takes about 2 minutes.
Lastly but not least, plate your food and enjoy the outdoors!
