Coalition Brewing Bottling Two Flowers CBD IPA

I discovered Coaltion Brewing’s Two Flowers West Coast CBD IPA about two years ago while looking for any type of beer that related to the stoner’s New Year, or better known as 4/20. The beer wasn’t too difficult to find because it took about 5 minutes on Google before I came across a previously written article listing all the “canni-beers” that ever existed. There were a collection of “extinct” beers from both Colorado and Humboldt, but there was still one standing strong and it was right here in Portland. Bingo.

Coalition Brewing has built a name for themselves surrounding their specialization in beer brewed using the non-psychoactive and clinically positive compound of CBD. They began back in 2014 with the idea to combine the “kissing cousins” of hops and hemp to create Two Flowers and from there have expanded into realms of CBD Stouts, CBD Sours, CBD Lagers, and CBD Hazy beers to name a few. Now 5 years later, and with the further acceptance of CBD as a natural medicine rather than something a bunch of hippies ingest to get high, Two Flowers CBD IPA is officially being bottled and sold in all Oregon-based New Seasons Markets, specialty bottle shops and of course at Coalition’s brewery.

These 500 ml bottles contain a combination of locally sourced ingredients and 5 mg of CBD for you to purchase and take home. To celebrate this milestone the brewery is having a release party on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Portland’s Civic Taproom & Bottle Shop located across the street from Providence Park (where the Timbers play). For those of you who GPS everything like we do the address is: 621 SW 19th Ave, Portland, OR 97205.

Pro Tip: Parking in the area sucks but if you are willing to pay a small amount extra we suggest you hit the parking garage on 15th and Yamhill across from Hotel Deluxe. That or put your drinking cap on and catch a Lyft!
